Hearts have completed the signing of Austrian striker David Witteveen.
The 24-year-old spent a week on trial with the squad during their pre-season trip to Germany, featuring in matches against Goslar 08, Slask, St Pauli and Alemannia Aachen.
He impressed manager Csaba Laszlo enough to be offered a deal with the Jambos and arrived in Edinburgh this week to hold talks.
The Red Bull Salzburg forward spent last season on loan with St Andra and Laszlo is hoping he will boost Hearts' firepower ahead of the new campaign.
"I am pleased we have signed him," he told
Hearts News.
"He has a good body, he is strong, and he has a good shot but he has a bit to learn, but we can help him and this can be good news."
