Stanley stung by late leveller

Jordan Rhodes was the Brentford hero as they went to the top of the table with a late equaliser in their 1-1 draw at Accrington Stanley. With just seconds left of the four minutes of injury time, John Halls found Rhodes and the on-loan Ipswich man slotted past Kenny Arthur to send the Bees to the top for the first time this season and displace Wycombe. It was agony for Stanley who thought they had secured all three points. Jimmy Ryan had grabbed his seventh goal of the season for the struggling Reds in the 48th minute when he got on the end of John-Paul Kissock's square ball. Charlie MacDonald wasted two good chances for the Bees who peppered Stanley's goal after the break, while sub Nathan Elder had a ball cleared off the line by Stanley defender Colin Murdock. It looked like Brentford were to be denied until Rhodes popped up with the fifth goal of his productive loan spell.
