Davies strikes late to earn Shots win

Bradford's 100% start to the season was ended when Aldershot substitute Scott Davies fired a stunning 86th-minute winner to snatch a 3-2 win. The on-loan Reading midfielder smashed home from 30 yards to finally settle a thrilling match. The Bantams went ahead in the 10th minute when Michael Boulding's corner found Paul McLaren on the edge of the box and he side-footed past Nikki Bull. Gary Waddock's men equalised two minutes into the second half when Ben Harding smashed a 20-yard volley into the top corner. Bull saved Peter Thorne's penalty before the Shots took the lead when Scott Donnelly slid in Morgan to tap in from close range. Bradford were level in the 68th minute when midfielder Lee Bullock broke into the box and headed in Omar Daley's cross but Davies had the final say.
