Almeria stayed at the foot of the Primera Liga after a 1-1 draw with 10-man Racing Santander.

Henrique sent off for Racing in draw

Rock-bottom Almeria stayed at the foot of the Primera Liga after a 1-1 draw with 10-man Racing Santander. The visitors played almost three quarters of the match with a numerical disadvantage after Brazilian defender Henrique was sent off, but their hosts did not capitalise. Henrique, on loan from Barcelona, pulled down Pablo Piatti on 17 minutes to earn a red card and Racing then took the lead in the 37th minute through Gonzalo Colsa. Adrian Morales missed a penalty close to half-time to give Almeria a lifeline that they accepted in the second half. Albert Crusat equalised on 64 minutes, but the Copa del Rey semi-finalists stay bottom of the table and four points from safety. Racing stretched their unbeaten run to six league games, with new coach Marcelino guiding the club away from the relegation zone and up to 12th position.
