Trotters hit by late leveller
Bolton began their pre-season tour of Greece with a competitive 1-1 draw with Aris.
Gary Megson's side began brightly at a packed Kleanthis Vikelides Stadium and Kevin Nolan saw a headed effort disallowed within the opening ten minutes.
Bolton continued to pressurise but there were few clear-cut chances with Nolan blasting over just before the break.
Just moments into the second period and Aris almost took the lead through Thiago Gentil as he burst into the box before firing across the face of goal and wide.
Sergio Koke was then denied by a brilliant save from Ali Al Habsi as the Spaniard's header looked destined for the back of the net.
Al Habsi was again needed to keep out Alejandro Delorte before Bolton finally broke the deadlock with just nine minutes left.
Blerim Dzemaili's free-kick into the box was flicked on by Nolan, into the path of Gavin McCann, who headed home from close-range.
Bolton, though, could not hang on as Aris levelled in injury time as Peral Javito broke clear and fired home.
