Barnet and Wycombe settle for a point apiece

Chris Zebroski's second-half strike salvaged a 1-1 draw for Wycombe at Barnet - their fourth draw in five games. The frontman, who only won an appeal against his sending-off at the weekend hours before kick-off, turned in second-half substitute Matty Phillips' back-post cross in the 68th minute. The former Torquay star's tap-in cancelled out Nicky Deverdics' left-foot piledriver which had sent Barnet in ahead at half-time. The home side had the best of the early exchanges but it was Wycombe who should have taken the lead. Bees' new loan signing Michael Townsend failed to deal with Scott Shearer's long punt but Matt Harrold somehow blazed his volley over the bar. Wycombe were made to regret the chance just two minutes later when after a well-worked free-kick, former Gretna midfielder Deverdics fired home an unstoppable strike from 25 yards. Barnet might have doubled their lead 15 minutes after the restart but man-of-the-match Albert Adomah saw his snap-shot cleared off the line before Zebroski pounced to earn Peter Taylor's men a share of the points.
