Blackburn finished their pre-season preparations by coming from behind to draw 1-1 with Dutch side NAC Breda in a friendly at rainswept Ewood Park. The visitors took the lead against the run of play on the stroke of half-time after winning a corner. Matt Derbyshire headed the kick away but Hungarian international Csaba Feher's shot through a crowded area slipped through Paul Robinson's grasp. After the re-start, Rovers pushed on and had several chances before drawing level on 55 minutes thanks to Roberts' goal. The striker headed home at the back post after good work from Keith Treacy, who made a strong run to beat his man and then cross. With 20 minutes remaining, Rovers handed a debut to former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler, who is hoping to secure a contract at the club.
