Kandol at the double

Tresor Kandol returned to haunt former club Bournemouth with two goals in Leeds' 3-1 win.

Tresor Kandol returned to haunt former club Bournemouth as he scored twice for Leeds in a 3-1 win at Dean Court in League One. He scored in both halves to see off the Cherries and get Leeds' promotion push firmly back on track as the home side finished with 10 men after Lee Bradbury's red card. Kandol put United into an early lead when he raced onto Andy Hughes' long ball to finish past Neil Moss. The home side came back into the game in convincing fashion and missed a host of chances, before on-loan Reading midfielder Jem Karacan produced a scorching equaliser from distance. Leeds began the second period with an early goal as midfielder Seb Carole exchanged passes with Jermaine Beckford before curling his third of the season past Moss. Bradbury then saw red after reacting to a clumsy challenge from Leeds defender Matt Heath, and from that point on it was one-way traffic as Bournemouth faltered, with Kandol putting the home side out of their misery five minutes from time as he rose to convert Frazer Richardson's cross.
