Dons pile misery on Parkinson

A Christian Jolley strike handed AFC Wimbledon a 2-1 victory and piled further pressure on Bradford boss Phil Parkinson.

There looked to be no danger when the unmarked Jolley received the ball from the right, but City's players left him in acres of space and he had time to steady himself before clipping a 30-yard shot over the head of keeper Matt Duke and under the crossbar in the 57th minute. Bradford had taken the lead midway through the first half through skipper Michael Flynn's third penalty of the season. Jamie Devitt was upended in the area by Callum McNaughton and Flynn made no mistake from the spot. However, Wimbledon equalised six minutes later when Gareth Gwillim crossed from the left and Jolley headed the ball down for Jack Midson to score his seventh goal of the season with a shot just inside the far post. Only a fine diving save by Seb Brown to keep out James Hanson's header stopped Bradford from regaining the lead in the 52nd minute, but once Wimbledon had gone in front the home side rarely looked like breaching the visitors' strong defence.
