Chester hold out for battling point
John Danby was Chester's hero as he made a string of fine saves to earn them a goalless draw with promotion-chasing Bradford.
Chester were the brighter side in the first half and Ryan Lowe volleyed over from inside the box before Mark Hughes had a volley saved by Rhys Evans.
In first-half stoppage-time Bradford almost went in front when Paul McLaren's corner found Graeme Lee but he headed straight at Danby.
Bradford improved after the break and Danby had to be at his best to deny Steve Jones, while Michael Boulding headed over from close range.
Late on Danby made another superb save to deny Omar Daley as Bradford were frustrated.
