Bristol City will check on Nathan Baker ahead of the visit of Brentford.

The defender was substituted at half-time during Saturday's 1-1 draw at Derby nursing a slight calf problem. Midfielder Marley Watkins will also be assessed after missing out at the weekend with a dead leg.

Striker Matty Taylor (hip) plus midfielders Korey Smith (knee) and Liam Walsh (knee) are not yet ready to return.

Brentford defender Chris Mepham could be missing after he was injured during Saturday's 1-0 win over Bolton. The Wales international was forced off with 20 minutes to go and replaced by Yoann Barbet.

Lewis Macleod and Emiliano Marcondes remain sidelined for the west Londoners. Macleod has a hamstring injury and fellow midfielder Marcondes is out with an ankle problem.
