Bury beat Burton 3-1 at the Pirelli Stadium to grab their fifth straight away win and go second in the League Two table.

Mike Jones gave the Shakers the lead in superb fashion in the 10th minute when he cut in from the left and lashed a right-footed shot beyond the reach of Burton goalkeeper Adam Legzdins. Burton were rewarded with the equaliser in the 29th minute when James Collins was on hand to drive home a 10-yard shot after keeper Owain Fon Williams spilled an Adam Bolder shot. But it took a double save from Legzdins to deny Steve Schumacher and Efe Sodje at the other end. Bury regained the lead through on-loan Manchester United youngster Nicky Ajose's well-judged lob in the 53rd minute and the visitors quickly went close to a third goal when Andy Haworth crashed a shot against the crossbar. The Shakers did then grab a third and make sure of the win when Sodje powerfully blasted home a Peter Sweeney corner in the 73rd minute.
