The big striker headed the visitors in front on 29 minutes and bundled in a Danny Shelley cross for his 12th goal of the season 17 minutes from time.
In between, Steven Schumacher thumped in a low shot seven minutes before the interval with Shelley also dispatching a left-foot strike on 69 minutes, just moments after Julian Alsop had headed against the bar at the other end.
Cheltenham's nightmare home record continues - they are without a win at the Abbey Stadium since the opening day of the season - and they suffered more bad luck, hitting the woodwork three times in total.
Frankie Artus thundered a 25-yard drive against the bar on 12 minutes while David Bird's shot was brilliantly tipped onto the post by Railwaymen keeper Adam Legzdins on 26 minutes.
Legzdins was also at the centre of a bizarre incident at the start of the second half when referee Graham Scott blew to restart the half with the keeper not on the pitch.
