Promotion hopefuls Colchester and Bradford played out a hard-fought 0-0 draw at the JobServe Community Stadium.
The stalemate was enough to move Colchester up to seventh, while Bradford - a point better off - missed the chance to move into the top three.
Theo Robinson came inches away from meeting Callum Harriott's dangerous low cross early on for the hosts, while soon after Bantams striker Eoin Doyle's deflected shot flew off Tom Eastman and sailed off for a corner.
Colchester midfielder Harry Pell was slightly fortunate not to escape at least a booking for a heavy challenge on Connor Wood, while just before half-time Frank Nouble's first-time side-footed effort sailed wide of the far post.
Bradford goalkeeper Luke McGee made a fine diving save to push away Pell's fierce effort from the edge of the area early in the second half and Eastman headed Kwame Poku's deep cross wide.
Luke Prosser blazed a good chance over from Harriott's corner midway through the second half as Colchester continued to press for the opener and substitute Courtney Senior fired straight at McGee.
Bradford's Chris Taylor rattled the crossbar with a long-range effort with 13 minutes remaining but the spoils were shared.
