Colchester v Tranmere preview
Friday 4 April 2014 16:08, UK
Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Colchester United and Tranmere Rovers at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Colchester will be without suspended pair Brian Wilson and Craig Eastmond when they entertain Tranmere. Both players have picked up 10 yellow cards this season, with Wilson completing his two-match ban and Eastmond beginning his. On-loan Crystal Palace defender Alex Wynter is still waiting for his first appearance for the club, while Sanchez Watt continues to struggle with his quad injury. Wednesday's defeat to Peterborough was Colchester's third in a row and left them just three points above the relegation zone. Tranmere have received mixed news on the injury front ahead of their visit to Colchester. Captain James Wallace is definitely out once again with a groin strain and he will join winger Abdulai Bell-Baggie, whose knee problem could keep him out for the remainder of the campaign. However, assistant manager John McMahon expects he will be able to call upon both Jason Koumas (toe) and Steve Jennings (knee). On-loan centre-back Stephen Arthurworrey should also feature after returning to training this week following a back complaint.
