Cologne extended their unbeaten start to the season and moved top of the Bundesliga with a comfortable 3-0 win over Freiburg on Friday.
Anthony Modeste headed the Goats in front from five yards out in the 29th minute, before Leonardo Bittencourt turned in Yuya Osako's cross from close range to make it two within a further 60 seconds.
Another Modeste header just before half-time put the result beyond doubt, with Freiburg limiting the damage in the second half, but never looking like mounting a comeback.
The win takes Cologne on to seven points from their first three games of the season, one more than Bayern Munich, who face Ingolstadt on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund will be aiming to bounce back from defeat to Leipzig with a more convincing performance - and result - against Darmstadt.
Wolfsburg and Leipzig can both extend their unbeaten starts to the season at Hamburg and Hoffenheim respectively.
The pressure is on Werder Bremen coach Viktor Skripnik ahead of his side's trip to a Borussia Monchengladbach side licking their wounds after Wednesday's Champions League defeat to Manchester City.
