Newport kept their place at the top of Sky Bet League Two, despite being held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Crawley.
County seemed on their way to victory when they took an early lead through Ryan Haynes, but a Mickey Demetriou own goal levelled things up after 32 minutes.
Newport were given hope of restoring their lead after Tarryn Allarakhia's red card for a poor challenge on Liam Shephard saw Crawley reduced to 10 men, but Michael Flynn's side couldn't find it.
The result keeps Newport one point clear of Forest Green at the top, and four clear of Cheltenham in fourth.
Crawley, meanwhile, are in 10th. Three points off the play-off places in the fourth tier.
