Derby suffered their first defeat in pre-season as Crewe emerged 2-1 winners at Gresty Road on Tuesday night.
Chris Riggott, playing for Derby for the first time since 2003 as he looks to earn a contract following recently injury problems, put the Rams ahead in the first half. But the League Two side showed resilience and, after Bryon Moore restored parity, Danny Shelley's sensational long-range strike handed them victory.
