    Crewe 0-0 MK Dons

Kieran Agard spurned a guilt-edged chance for MK Dons as Paul Tisdale's side settled for a goalless draw at Crewe after ending the game with 10 men.

Mathieu Baudry's was sent off in the closing stages but there was little time for Crewe to take advantage as the Dons dropped their first points of the season.

It was Agard who missed the best chance of the match, heading against the post from point-blank range in a first-half in which Crewe otherwise enjoyed the better of.

The Railwaymen started well with Callum Ainley forcing Lee Nicholls into a good save and a deflected effort from James Jones flying just past the far post.

The visitors had been limited to Agard's belting drive which almost crept unto the bar from 25 yards out, but they should have taken the lead two minutes before the break when Ousseynou Cisse delivered invitingly onto Agard's head.

They improved after the restart and Crewe keeper Dave Richards did well to keep out Ryan Watson's fierce snapshot, before substitute Dylan Asonganyi sliced his shot as the home goal gaped invitingly.

Crewe's Chris Porter also should have done better when he was put clear, but he delayed getting his shot off and keeper Nicholls was off his line to shepherd the ball out of play.

The Dons finished the game with 10 men with Baudry handed a straight red card for a lunging late challenge on Harry Pickering in the 89th minute, but did enough to close out the game and claim a point.
