More misery for Mariners as Dagenham bounce back
Dagenham ended a run of three straight defeats in style with a thumping 4-0 win over Grimsby.
It was plain sailing for the home side once Mark Arber had thumped them in front from a corner after 16 minutes.
Ben Strevens made it 2-0 in the 36th minute, sliding the ball in after goalkeeper Paul Barnes had dropped Matt Ritchie's cross.
In the second-half, a classy Paul Benson finish extended the lead in the 63rd minute.
Strevens then got his second of the night in the final minutes, heading home a pinpoint cross.
Grimsby, who have now gone 14 games without a win, barely threatened except for a Ryan Bennett shot that was tipped over the bar by Tony Roberts.
