      Substitute's late strike earns a point

      Dagenham were denied by a late goal from substitute Mark Burchill who ensured Rotherham secured a 1-1 draw at Victoria Road. Burchill struck after 85 minutes, pouncing on diabolical defending in the Daggers defence to scramble the ball home and earn a share of the spoils. It had looked like the hosts would take all three points courtesy of a Paul Benson wonder goal after 49 minutes as the striker volleyed home from the edge of the penalty area before Burchill struck. Defeat would have been harsh on Rotherham as they dominated proceedings throughout. Alex Rhodes was denied by home goalkeeper Tony Roberts in the first half, while Drewe Broughton also had an effort disallowed for offside for the Millers.
