United were not at their best and seldom threatened the Devon club, who ease their relegation worries with the surprise win. The Grecians caught the Whites' defence napping as early as the fourth minute when Ryan Harley headed past Casper Ankergren. Simon Grayson's side were nearly handed an equaliser when Richard Duffy headed towards his own goal, although the defender recovered to clear. City had the better of the chances and Stewart and Adam Stansfield went close with headers. Harley made sure his side wrapped up all three points though, the midfielder bagging a memorable brace with a 25-yard shot into the top corner.
