Exeter recorded their first win in six games with a well-deserved 2-0 victory over Oldham at St James Park.
The Grecians should have been awarded a penalty in the first minute when Jake Taylor was tripped inside the box, but nothing was given. Guillem Bauza and James Dunne also went close to opening the scoring. Exeter continued to attack at will and made the breakthrough in the 19th minute when a fine passing move involving Dunne and Bauza ended with Daniel Nardiello tucking the ball into the bottom corner. It was only Exeter's fifth league goal of the season. The home side doubled their lead four minutes after the interval when Scott Golbourne's cross was headed down by Taylor and Bauza lashed in from close range. Oldham had chances to score themselves, but found Exeter goalkeeper Artur Krysiak in brilliant form. The Pole made three outstanding saves to deny Reuben Reid twice and Matt Smith. Zander Diamond also hit the post late on for the Latics.
