      Motherwell fell to a Europa League defeat to Flamurtari after John Sutton had a goal disallowed.

      Motherwell fell to a 1-0 defeat to Flamurtari in the first leg of their Europa League second qualifying round fixture after John Sutton had a goal disallowed. Sutton converted a penalty just before the hour mark but was controversially ordered to retake it for apparent encroachment and his second attempt was pushed past wide. Motherwell had looked comfortable but Ermir Strati fired home from 20 yards in the 66th minute to give the Albanians a victory. Jim Gannon's side host Flamurtari in the second leg on 23rd July when they will look to keep their continental aspirations alive. Bangor City were comfortably brushed aside 2-0 in the first leg of their second qualifying round tie with Honka Espoo. Former Hibernian striker Tam McManus headed a 44th minute equaliser to give Derry City an excellent chance of reaching the Europa League third qualifying round following a 1-1 draw with Skonto Riga in Latvia.
