Two goals in four minutes from Alexis and Angel Lafita saw Getafe come from behind to beat Valladolid 2-1 and move into the top half of the Primera Division table. Oscar Gonzalez's sixth goal of the season had put Valladolid ahead just before the break but after Omar Ramos came within inches of doubling the lead with a shot that smacked off the underside off the bar, Getafe rallied to score twice in the final 16 minutes. Alexis headed home at the back post from Pedro Leon's corner before Lafita found some space inside the area and curled a beautiful finish high past Dani Gimenez into the top corner. Defeat was La Pucela's first in five games but one that did not appear on the cards after they had gone ahead late in the first-half. Dani had made a brilliant double save from Leon and Diego Castro to keep Valladolid level on 25 minutes before more comfortably parrying away another Castro header moments later. Miguel Angel Moya was also starring in goal at the other end as he made a brilliant save low to his right to deny Manucho putting the visitors ahead, but there was nothing he could do a minute before the break as Valladolid broke in numbers and after Moya had blocked Patrick Ebert's original effort, Oscar fired in the rebound. Alexis was next to test Dani moments after the break with a long-range shot the keeper did well to tip round the post but Valladolid will rue not sealing the game when they twice came close to a second goal midway through the half. First, Ramos' brilliant effort from outside the box bounced back into play off the underside of the bar before Ebert should have scored when he fired just wide. Instead it was Getafe who got the all-important second goal as Alexis rose highest to head home from close range in the 74th minute and they capitalised on their momentum as Mane fed Lafita on the left and he cut inside two defenders before unleashing an unstoppable shot into the top corner.
