Rotherham condemned Grimsby to their third straight loss with a 2-1 win at Blundell Park. The defeat leaves Mike Newell's men rooted to the bottom of the table after a disastrous start to the campaign. Rotherham grabbed the lead from the penalty spot when Robbie Stockdale was adjudged to have handled and recent signing Adam Le Fondre stepped up to convert from the spot. Grimsby responded well and levelled when Peter Sweeney's 20-yard shot squirmed past Rotherham keeper Andy Warrington on 64 minutes Rotherham netted the winner three minutes later when Micky Cummins met Nicky Law's free-kick with a downward header to clinch the three points for the Millers.
