Bulls fight back for point

Mathieu Manset netted as Hereford fought back to claim a 1-1 draw against a battling Accrington side at Edgar Street.
Hereford were the first on the offensive with midfielder James McQuilkin curling a corner in to the Accrington goalmouth but it was cleared away by a Stanley defender. Play continued to switch from end to end before Accrington broke the deadlock in the 25th minute through James Ryan. The midfielder latched on to a pass from Liam Richardson before beating goalkeeper Adam Bartlett with a low shot into the far corner of the net. Accrington goalkeeper Alex Cisak, however, came to Stanley's rescue when he made a fine stop to deny Manset with a diving save. Six minutes into the second half midfielder McQuilkin hit the Accrington crossbar from a free-kick while goalkeeper Cisak saved at the feet of Manset. Hereford, however, eventually levelled in the 55th minute when Frenchman Manset raced through to lob the ball over goalkeeper Cisak and into the net. Both sides went close to snatching a second but a draw was a fair result on the day.
