Alessandro Matri's winner sunk Fiorentina and sent Juventus one point clear at the top of Serie A.
The summer signing from Cagliari netted in the 65th minute to lift the hosts clear of Udinese.
Leonardo Bonucci opened the scoring for Juve in the 13th minute, but Stevan Jovetic levelled the scores in the 57th minute.
The hosts started strongly and forged ahead when Bonucci converted from close range following a corner.
But the visitors were back on terms shortly before the hour mark when Juan Vargas set up Jovetic to rifle home from range.
However, any hopes La Viola had of preventing Juve from going back to the top were extinguished soon after when Simone Pepe set up Matri for the winner.
