Town come from behind to grab points

Northampton Town came from behind to earn three valuable points in their quest for League One survival with a 3-1 win at Leyton Orient, whose safety was already assured. Orient had marginally the better of the first half but it took an own goal to give them the lead. It came after 25 minutes when Jason Crowe - under pressure from home striker Scott McGleish - glanced a 35-yard free-kick from Sean Thornton into his own net. Stuart Gray's Northampton had the chance to level but midfielder Andy Holt totally missed his kick wide of goal when a cross from the right eluded Orient's defence. During early second-half pressure from Orient, Town keeper Chris Dunn did well to tip over a shot by home midfielder Jimmy Smith. Town survived and striker Adebayo Akinfenwa headed them level from Luke Guttridge's free-kick after 72 minutes, and Guttridge was again the provider when substitute Aleksandar Prijovic fired them ahead two minutes later. And Ikechi Anya sealed the win three minutes from time when he broke away to score and clinch only Northampton's fourth away win of the season.
