Barnsley are through to the second round of the Carling Cup after a 1-0 victory away at Lincoln.
Bogdanovic grabs only goal against Lincoln City
A second-half strike from substitute Daniel Bogdanovic was enough for Barnsley to defeat Lincoln City at Sincil Bank.
Barnsley were thwarted numerous times by Lincoln goalkeeper Rob Burch as they dominated their League Two opponents.
But it was only after the introduction of Bogdanovic midway through the second half that the Reds were finally able to break the deadlock.
The striker made an immediate impact and missed a great chance after only three minutes on the pitch.
He found himself with only Burch to beat but the keeper made an outstanding double save to keep the scores level.
Bogdanovic's goal came in the 72nd minute after he pressured Lincoln defender Janos Kovacs into an error.
The Maltese striker was left with an easy opportunity and blasted his shot past Burch and into the net.
Plucky Lincoln had chances of their own on the break. New signing Rene Howe went close with a 20-yard effort which forced a diving save from Luke Steele.
Steele had to be at his best in the second half when he got down well to block a powerful Jamie Clark shot.
