Frecklington earns a share of the spoils
A second-half equaliser from midfielder Lee Frecklington earned Lincoln a 1-1 draw against injury-hit Chester.
The Imps were denied an early goal when a shot from striker Geoff Horsfield was cleared off the line by Chester skipper Paul Linwood, but Chester hit back with defender Kevin Ellison curling a free-kick narrowly wide.
The visitors went ahead after 31 minutes when midfielder Anthony Barry fired in a spectacular 30-yard shot which left Lincoln keeper Rob Burch beaten.
Lincoln got back into the game and Frecklington levelled when he headed home a 48th minute corner from Aaron Brown.
Lincoln's Dany N'Guessan was denied by Chester keeper John Danby before Horsfield went close again in the 73rd minute but the Chester defence scrambled the ball away.
Lincoln kept up the pressure and almost scored six minutes later when on-loan striker Anthony Elding set up a chance for Horsfield but the veteran's shot was blocked by the legs of Danby.
