2011 qualifying campaign gets off to scoreless start
Wales Under 21s were held to a 0-0 draw in Luxembourg in their first qualifying game for the 2011 Uefa European Under 21 Championship.
Brian Flynn's side have been depleted by the promotion of several key players to the senior side recently including Ched Evans, Sam Vokes and Aaron Ramsey.
And while Wales came close to qualifying for this summer's tournament in Sweden, losing out to England in a play-off, their campaign for the 2011 finals did not start well.
The inexperienced young Dragons acquitted themselves reasonably at the Stade du Complex Sport Deich in Ettelbruck, but were unable to break down their opponents, increasing the pressure on them when Luxembourg come to Llanelli next Tuesday.
Following the double-header with Luxembourg, Wales will also face Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hungary and Italy in Group Three.
