Vincent Kompany is nearing a return but will not feature when Manchester City host Huddersfield in their FA Cup fifth-round replay on Wednesday.
The defender pulled out of the goalless draw at the John Smith's Stadium with a leg injury and has not featured since City's fourth-round win over Crystal Palace in January.
Pep Guardiola has confirmed Kompany is in the final stages of his recovery but the visit of Huddersfield comes too soon.
The Sky Bet Championship side saw their six-match winning run in the league ended by a 1-1 draw at Barnsley at the weekend but they remain in the promotion race.
David Wagner's side face a quick turnaround with their trip to City followed by a crunch Championship clash with second-place Newcastle on Saturday, live on Sky Sports.
The Terriers boss will be in the stands for the games against City and Newcastle after receiving a two-match touchline ban and a £6,000 fine after his altercation with Leeds counterpart Garry Monk on February 5.
Meanwhile, City have played just once since facing Huddersfield, beating Monaco 5-3 in a dramatic Champions League last-16 first-leg encounter at the Etihad.
The winner of Wednesday's FA Cup replay will face Middlesbrough in the quarter-finals at the Riverside on March 11.
Kompany is close to returning for City but will not be involved on Wednesday.
City have no other new injuries but Guardiola is still to decide whether Willy Caballero or Claudio Bravo will play in goal, while striker Gabriel Jesus (foot) and midfielder Ilkay Gundogan (knee) are out long term.
Christopher Schindler (knock) and Kasey Palmer (hamstring) will miss out for the visitors, and Nahki Wells is a doubt with an ankle problem.
Sean Scannell is seeking to prove his fitness in training on Tuesday but otherwise Wagner has no fresh concerns.
City have lost 1-0 in their last two home matches against Huddersfield (all comps), both in the second tier, in November 1997 and 1999.
In fact, City haven't beaten the Terriers in four home matches since a 10-1 second tier league win in November 1987 (D2 L2).
The Terriers have failed to score in four of their previous five FA Cup games with Manchester City (D3 L2).
Two of the last three FA Cup matches between these two sides have ended 0-0.
Manchester City and Huddersfield are the only two sides yet to concede a goal in this season's FA Cup. They have scored eight apiece.
Prior to this season, Man City have been eliminated from the FA Cup at home by a lower league side in two of the last three campaigns (Wigan in 2014 and Middlesbrough in 2015).
Huddersfield last eliminated a Premier League side from the FA Cup in 2008, beating Birmingham 2-1 at home in the third round.
The Terriers have lost their last six away FA Cup matches at top tier opposition, conceding 17 goals in the process and at least two per match.
