Millwall v Derby preview
Monday 29 January 2018 17:40, UK
Millwall will have new signing Harry Toffolo in contention for the home clash with Derby after the left-back joined the club from Norwich on a deal until the end of the season.
Jason Shackell, who suffered with food poisoning before Saturday's fixture with Rochdale, would not have been able to play against his parent club under the terms of his loan. Aiden O'Brien is expected to miss out once again due to an ankle injury.
Manager Neil Harris could make changes to his team following Saturday's 2-2 draw. Steve Morison, Lee Gregory and Shaun Williams contributed as substitutes to the Lions' late equaliser and could earn recalls.
Joe Ledley is set to return to the Derby squad after missing five matches with a back problem. Rams boss Gary Rowett must decide whether to restore Ledley to his starting line-up or stick with the current pairing of Tom Huddlestone and George Thorne in central midfield.
Jonathan Mitchell has a finger injury so Kelle Roos will provide the back-up to goalkeeper Scott Carson. Midfielder Bradley Johnson is still struggling with his back problem and remains unavailable.
Opta stats
Millwall have conceded eight goals in their last two home league matches against Derby (1-5 defeat and 3-3 draw), as many as in their previous 14 games combined.
The Rams haven't won both league matches in a season against Millwall since 1968/69, when they were managed by Brian Clough.
Since losing to Burton at the start of November, Millwall have remained unbeaten at home in the following six league games (W3 D3).
Derby have kept nine clean sheets in their last 12 Championship games - their previous nine clean sheets came over a period of 39 league matches.
Matej Vydra has scored in each of his last three Championship games against the Lions (three goals).
Steve Morison failed to score with his first 16 shots on target in the Championship this season but has found the net with each of his last two attempts on target.
Prutton's prediction
Derby are unbeaten in nine in the league and will be feeling good heading to Millwall, but there's little doubt that they face a real test of their credentials at The Den.
Millwall's home record has been excellent this season and they finally secured a first away win at Leeds last week, and they'll fancy their chances of another scalp again on Tuesday. Both teams will goal for it and I fancy a score draw.
David Prutton predicts: 2-2 (14/1 with Sky Bet)
