Wolves defender Ethan Ebanks-Landell has suffered a fractured metatarsal which could sideline him until February.
Wanderers revealed on Twitter that the 22-year-old will see a specialist on Monday to determine whether he requires surgery.
They say an operation would sideline Ebanks-Landell for 12 to 15 weeks, although if he is able to rest and allow it to heal he could be back in just over a month.
The news will come as a blow to boss Kenny Jackett, who will be left short of cover at the back.
Ebanks-Landell has made seven appearances for Wolves this season.
