Bolton may have lost Wellington Silva for the remainder of the calendar year due to a hamstring injury.

The 22-year-old came off in the first half against Birmingham on Tuesday after sustaining the injury when he tried to go between two defenders as he entered Blues' penalty box.

Silva was booked for simulation, yet first-team coach Garry Parker later claimed he had "stumbled" rather than dived, but he sustained a serious injury in the process which could rule him out for the remainder of 2015.

"The injury is a blow," said Wanderers manager Neil Lennon, whose attacking options have been depleted ever since Zach Clough sustained a serious shoulder injury, at his press conference.
