Ivica Olic says he is "90 per cent certain" to leave Hamburg in January due to a lack of first-team opportunities.

The 36-year-old has hardly had a look-in since Bruno Labbadia took charge of the club back in April and has not started a game in the Bundesliga this season.

His lack of minutes means he could be at risk of losing his place in the Croatia squad for the European Championship.

"I'm looking for a solution. It's 90 per cent certain I'll go somewhere else this winter," he told Bild newspaper.

"I've already spoken to Hamburg and I will do that again in the coming days. I will do everything to ensure I can play again in the second half of the season.

"Anything's possible right now and I am open to anything, even for a move abroad."

Olic returned to Hamburg for a second spell in January, saying it was his dream to end his career at the northern outfit.

That dream has turned into a nightmare, however, with just six substitute appearances so far this term, despite being first choice last season after arriving from Wolfsburg.
