Birmingham have terminated the contract of defender Shane Lowry by mutual consent.
The 26-year-old Australian has returned to his native country and signed a a two-and-a-half-year contact with A-League side Perth Glory.
"The time was right to come to Perth and play with Glory, which has been a goal of mine in more recent years," Lowry told Birmingham's official website.
"As a Perth boy I'm keen to do my bit and steer the club to its first A-League championship, but more importantly help the team make the finals this current season."
Lowry signed a short-term deal with Birmingham in September 2015 and made two appearances.
He started out in England with Aston Villa and had loan spells at Plymouth, Leeds and Sheffield United before joining Millwall, initially on loan, in November 2011. He moved on to Leyton Orient in July 2014 but left the club following their relegation to Sky Bet League 2 last season.
