Huddersfield have signed Brighton forward Elvis Manu on an emergency loan until May 2.

The 22-year-old Netherlands U21 international has made only nine appearances for Chris Hughton's side since signing from Feyenoord last August.

Manu has already played for both Brighton and Feyenoord this season and, as a result, is restricted to an emergency loan only.

"Elvis is keen to play regular football, and we are not able to guarantee him that here at the moment," Hughton said.

"At Huddersfield he will have the opportunity to play more regular football in the Championship which will be to everyone's benefit.

"It's also ideal for us that he is remaining in England, and in particular the Championship, as that means we can monitor his progress."

"I like what I have seen of Elvis from his time at Feyenoord and Brighton; I believe his qualities will fit with our ideas," Wagner said in a statement released on Huddersfield's website.

"I'm sure he can help us out this season. He also gives me another option in the number seven, 11 and nine slots, which it is important to have for the rest of the season."

Manu is available for Huddersfield's Championship fixture away at Preston on Saturday.
