Aberdeen have signed MK Dons striker Simon Church on loan for the remainder of the season while letting David Goodwillie move to Ross County until the summer.

Church, 27, joined the MK Dons on a free transfer from Charlton last summer but has started only nine Championship games for the club. He has made a total of 23 appearances for them, scoring three goals.

The Wales international started his career at Reading and had loan spells with Crewe, Yeovil, Wycombe, Leyton Orient and Huddersfield before moving to the Addicks in August 2013.

Goodwillie, meanwhile, is heading along the A96 to Dingwall to help bolster League Cup finalists Ross County's push for a top-six finish.

The former Dundee United striker joined Aberdeen in July 2014 and went on to score eight goals in 48 appearances at Pittodrie, but has only scored twice this season, a brace in a 3-1 win at Hearts in September.
