Walsall defender Matt Preston has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.
Centre-half Preston, who scored the Saddlers' winning goal in Saturday's dramatic late victory over Colchester, has put pen to paper on a deal that keeps him at the Banks's Stadium until the summer of 2017.
The 21-year-old told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to have signed a new contract as this is the best place for me to be at the minute.
"Here young players are given an opportunity to play which at most clubs is a rare thing. I'm starting to break through so hopefully I can continue to do that.
"I'm hoping to play as much first-team football as I can and stay injury free. To play regularly is my main aim."
Preston came through the academy at Walsall and signed his first professional contract in January 2013 before going out on loan to Northern Premier League side Barwell.
The former youth team captain made his senior debut for the Saddlers as a late substitute in a 3-2 victory over Rochdale in February 2015, and was handed his first start against Morecambe in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy this season.
He has scored twice in 13 league and cup appearances for Walsall during the current campaign.
