Sunderland duo Fabio Borini and Vito Mannone are in line for surprise call-ups to Italy's pre-Euro 2016 camp, according to media reports.
Both players endured difficult starts to the campaign but have become pivotal members of Sam Allardyce's team in recent months.
Uncapped Mannone started the season behind Costel Pantilimon at Sunderland but the latter's move to Watford in January has allowed the former Arsenal stopper to nail down a regular starting place.
Striker Borini has just one senior international cap, but he has scored twice in his last four games to boost Sunderland's Premier League survival chances.
The pair's form has not gone unnoticed by Italy coach Antonio Conte, and, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, they will both be named in the Italy squad on Monday.
