Dean Shiels is the latest member of Rangers playing staff to leave the club following the expiration of his contract.
The former Hibernian, Doncaster and Kilmarnock midfielder signed a four-year-deal to become the club's second signing of the summer in 2012.
But the 31-year-old has not been offered fresh terms and follows fellow-midfielders Nicky Law and David Templeton and striker Nicky Clark out the door at Ibrox.
The Scottish Championship winners also ended U20s coach Ian Durrant's 25-year association with the club on Thursday while loan signings Dominic Ball, Gedion Zelalem and Billy King have returned to their parent clubs.
During his four years in Glasgow, Shiels helped Rangers to promotion from the Third Division, League One and Championship, while playing a part in the club's first Petrofac Training Cup success earlier this year.
An Ibrox spokesman said: "Everyone at Rangers wishes Dean every success in his future career and thanks him for his efforts during his time at the club."
Since the end of the season Rangers have added 34-year-old midfielder Joey Barton, former Liverpool youngster Jordan Rossiter and Accrington Stanley duo Josh Windass and Matt Crooks to their squad as they prepare for life in the Scottish Premiership.
