Ade Azeez has left AFC Wimbledon to sign for Scottish Premiership club Partick Thistle.

Azeez was out of contract with the Dons and was offered a new deal to remain at Kingsmeadow, but he decided he wanted a new challenge after helping the club win promotion to League One via the play-offs at Wembley last month.

The 22-year-old striker made 96 appearances for AFC Wimbledon, scoring 14 goals, following his switch from Charlton two years ago.

Dons boss Neal Ardley said: "We offered Ade a new contract, but he has chosen to seek a fresh start elsewhere. It's good that his last act as an AFC Wimbledon player was to win the penalty that sealed victory in the play-off final to help us into League One. We wish Ade well in Scotland."
