Peterborough have confirmed the signing of Gwion Edwards from Crawley.
The 23-year-old winger will step up one division to join Posh on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee, with the Reds announcing the figure is a six-digit sum.
Crawley head coach Dermot Drummy told the club's website of Edwards' departure: "I spoke to Gwion about extending his contract beyond the end of next season but he made it clear he wanted a new challenge.
"It's obviously disappointing to see him go because, even from the short time I worked with him, I could see his qualities. We wish him all the best for the future and thank him for his services with the club."
The former Wales Under-21s international joined the Crawley on loan from Swansea before the transfer was made permanent in 2014, scoring 15 goals in his 94 appearances for the club.
Peterborough manager Grant McCann said: "We have been tracking Gwion for quite a while now and I am delighted that we have been able to get it done. He is a clever footballer, he has had two good years with Crawley, especially last year.
"He will suit the way we play, he can play anywhere across the midfield and attacking areas of the pitch. He is a special talent and I am confident we can make him better in the future."
