Dundee have completed the signing of striker Faissal El Bakhtaoui.

El Bakhtaoui joins the Scottish Premiership side on a three-year deal after leaving Dunfermline under freedom of contract.

Dundee manager Paul Hartley will hope El Bakhtaoui can replicate his prolific form from last season, in which he scored 30 goals in 41 appearances to win the PFA Scotland League One Player of the Year.

The Frenchman joined Dunfermline at the age of 19 and has featured regularly in the last four seasons.

Earlier this summer, interest in the forward spiked, as Motherwell made an approach and he also spent time on trial with Blackburn Rovers.

El Bakhtaoui's arrival at Dens Park comes only a few days after the departure of Kane Hummings to Oxford United, which Hartley admitted was a "big blow".
