Rangers loanee Emerson Hyndman has returned to parent club Bournemouth after being ruled out for the rest of the season with a foot injury.

The American moved to Ibrox on loan in January and scored four goals in 17 appearances, with his performances seeing him win the club's young player of the season award.

Hyndman was absent for the 2-1 win over Partick Thistle at the weekend because of the injury and, as he was set to miss Rangers' final three games of the campaign, he has returned to Eddie Howe's side.

The 21-year-old sent out a message of thanks to the Rangers support, saying: "Unfortunately I'll be missing the remainder of the season due to injury.

"I had an incredible time here at Rangers and I am thankful I had the opportunity to represent such a massive club.
