Richard Foster will miss St Johnstone's games against Rangers and Hearts later this month after receiving a two-match ban from the SFA.
The governing body found the defender guilty of 'excessive misconduct' after the 3-2 defeat at Dens Park on September 19.
Sofien Moussa scored the winner for Dundee from the penalty spot after Foster was adjudged to have fouled Ajay Leitch-Smith.
Foster incurred the wrath of the authorities after reportedly kicking the door of referee Alan Muir's changing room in frustration.
The former Aberdeen and Rangers full-back also served a two-match ban and was fined by the club last season for scuffling with team-mate Danny Swanson during the 0-0 draw at Hamilton in April.
