Peterborough's Marcus Maddison seemed to make a meal out of a tussle with Liam Trotter in his side's 2-2 draw with AFC Wimbledon

Peterborough playmaker Marcus Maddison went to ground in dramatic fashion following an altercation with AFC Wimbledon's Liam Trotter during Sunday's 2-2 draw.

After being penalised for a foul on Trotter, Maddison then appeared to go head to head with the Wimbledon midfielder before falling over clutching his face.

Maddison's theatrical reaction sparked a melee in the middle of the pitch, with both sets of players rushing in to get involved and in the aftermath of the incident, both he and Trotter received yellow cards.
