Adam Forshaw has completed a move to Leeds United on a four-and-a-half-year-deal from Middlesbrough.
On Thursday, both clubs confirmed the transfer for a total fee of £4.5m.
Forshaw, who joined Boro for around £2m in 2015 and played for the club in the Premier League last season, has made 79 appearances and scored two goals in all competitions while on the books at the Riverside.
Cardiff City were also interested in Forshaw, but signed Marko Grujic from Liverpool on loan for the rest of the season, so have ended their interest in the Boro player.
Forshaw has found opportunities limited under new manager Tony Pulis, who has sanctioned his sale to another Championship club. The 26-year old has not started a game for Boro since December 2.
He began his career as a trainee at Everton before joining Brentford in League One after a successful loan spell.
Forshaw was part of the Brentford side that was promoted to the Championship under Mark Warburton in 2014, and was then signed for Wigan by ex-Bees boss Uwe Rosler that summer.
